Weddings are not practical - at all. Weddings are not meant to be practical, because they are one of the most special days of your life. The day comes and goes in an instant.

Whenever I can, I try to bring in a little bit of practicality by reusing floral pieces throughout the day. A wonderful example of this are these focal floral boxes. They were the perfect entrance to the ceremony space, and afterwards they gave the head table a “wow” factor.

Last night I had the joy of hosting a porch pot workshop for the staff at HG’s Northview Elementary- my former elementary school! The group was creative & fun. Now everyone has some festive greens for the holidays & winter.

I am endlessly thankful for the couples who have chosen me to create their wedding flowers and be in their day in such a meaningful way. After this season I have done over 50 weddings in my 5 years, and it truly is such an honor to have brides carry my bouquets on their biggest day!

Now it’s time for us at AFG to rest a bit as we welcome our next little one in late February. I’ll be taking some time off (with the exception of some small projects) between next summer and now, but I do have some spots available for 2026 so reach out if you’re interested! ❤️

It’s derby day!

2024 was a whirlwind and chaotic but in all the best ways.

We welcomed our little bloom during a snowstorm in January and she’s been the biggest blessing. I’ve loved seeing the world through her eyes and sharing with her what I love.

This past weekend I had the urge to pick up some fresh flowers while grocery shopping. Wanting to have fresh flowers in the house is how I started my flower adventure. I love the beauty and cheerfulness they bring to our home. It is so fun to reflect on where I started and my “why”.

Don’t get me wrong I love seeing all of the fun wedding trends, but my biggest piece of advice would be to stay true to yourself and your unique wedding vision. Last year I had the chance to do flowers for an all black wedding at @thecastlevineyard and I am obsessed with how it turned out!
